Sometimes it’s a Letting Go

Every autumn the gingko tree on our front lawn drops a carpet of golden leaves. This year I gathered a collection, thinking that they would fit nicely into the flower of life geometry that I have been exploring. While I was making the work I was thinking how although letting go of the old can be difficult and sometimes painful it makes way for new and unexpected things that can be equally if not more beautiful.

Hand made and artisanal Papers, cingko leaves, gold leaf, lacemaking pins, 2024.
