Whispered Secrets was made for Sculpture in the Valley, Kangaroo Valley, NSW, 2023. The work reflects my ongoing love affair with the spiral. As the first major sculptural work to be completed since my Ph.D., this work is a reflection on my study which explored the ways in which art can function to orient communities towards desiring sustainability. In the intentionally sustainable communities I studied, a deeper spiritual connection to nature is sought through various art practices. The spiral is a geometric form that is repeated in artworks and in the built environment.
